文/圖：Sammy老師&Woody 大家可別像 Woody 一樣誤以為 hit the road 是字面上「撞馬路」或「打馬路」 1960 年代有首很有名，由黑人演唱的歌曲叫「Hit the Road, Jack」，歌詞裡 We have to hit the road soon. It’s getting late. → 我們必須趕快上路。時間不早了。 Are you ready to hit the road? → 你準備好動身了嗎？ We should hit the road in about ten minutes.

Hit the road 其實是指「上路」、「出發」、「啟程」。
「Let’s hit the road」就是「我們走吧！」
一直重複的這句話：
Hit the road, Jack. Don’t you come back no more, no more, no more, no more...
意思就是叫 Jack 趕快上路滾蛋，不要再回來了。
那讓我們來造個句子吧!
→ 我們應該在大約十分鐘後上路。
另外，「上路」也可以用 get going 這個片語來表達。
Let’s get going so we won’t miss the train. 我們上路吧，免得趕不上火車。
